Sigma Delta is an honor society for agriculture and agricultural sciences. Our objectives are:
- the advancement of
agriculture in all its phases,
- the maintenance and
improvement of the relations of agriculture
and related sciences to other industries,
- and the recognition
of the responsibilities of those engaged in all aspects
of agriculture to humankind.
Our Society seeks
to encourage high
standards
of
scholarship and worthy achievements in all branches
of the agricultural and related sciences as well as a high
degree
of excellence in
the practice of agricultural pursuits.

NEWS:
The
annual College of Agricultural Sciences/ Gamma Sigma Delta Graduate
and Undergraduate Research Expo will be held March 19-20, 2008 in
the Forest Resources Building.
This annual Expo provides both graduate and undergraduates
with the opportunity to share their research with a larger audience
-- those not in the same areas of professional interest. The Expo's
purpose is to communicate the value of science to a general audience
in terms that the public can understand, and to those in other
areas of professional interest.
Undergraduate
and graduate students advised by a faculty member in the College
of Agricultural Sciences are eligible to participate. About $2500
in prize monies is awarded annually.
